Structures

We use the term "structure" to describe the elements on which the modules are positioned. They are attached to metallic structures, the height and tilt angle of which are specifically calculated in terms of the level of sunlight, orientation and constraints of the site in order to maximize the performance of the installation. For maximum exposure, the structures that are used to accommodate the modules must be faced towards the South when in the northern hemisphere, and towards the North when in the southern hemisphere.

Today, the methods used for integrating photovoltaic modules are extremely varied, depending on the type of project (individual housing, apartment buildings, industrial sites, car parks, etc.) as well as the project’s architectural objectives, in terms of facade, roofing, etc. Tenesol offers a wide range of structures to meet the requirements of any project type.

As an eco-responsible company, Tenesol is a committed member of the PV Cycle association for the recycling of photovoltaic systems and their components.

Dedicated grid connection range

• SPT: Fixed-roof structure
A simple and robust concept for the home, Tenesol’s fixed-roof structures have been especially designed to enable the attachment and maintenance of photovoltaic modules on all types of roofing, whether made from thatch, slate or steel.

• SIT: Integrated-roof structure
Tenesol’s integrated roof structure is a comprehensive system that allows for full, watertight integration. The combination of overlapping plastic plates and special aluminum anchors facilitates the assembly of the panels and ensures that the interface with the rest of the roof is perfectly watertight.

• SBS Sunshade structure
Mounted on the facade of buildings, Tenesol’s sunshade structure stops the sun from shining directly onto the facade of the building. The natural light diffused by the interstices in the photovoltaic cells is therefore less intense. In addition, the shadow cast by the module reduces the intensity of the solar radiation in the building. Designed on the basis of dual-glass photovoltaic modules, the sunshade structure is very easy to install on all building types.

• SVX: Single-glass canopy roof structure
Tenesol’s single-glass canopy roof structures have been specially designed for porch roofs, conservatories, enclosed car ports, covered areas, etc.

• SPV: Glass structure
Tenesol’s glass structure combines aesthetic appeal, brightness and diffused light while also maintaining the solar radiation and watertight properties of the building.

• STC: Cassette- type structure
Tenesol’s cassette type structure is specifically designed for industrial-type cladding, and allows for the integration of photovoltaic panels and steel cassettes into the roofing and/or facades of the building.

• SBL: Ballasted steel slab structure for terrace roofs
Tenesol’s ballasted steel slab structure is ideal for attaching systems installed on terrace roofs. Once manually arranged on the terrace, the appropriate ballast is applied to the slabs. This ballasting principle avoids the risk of perforating the roof and thereby preserves the watertightness of the building. Manufactured from partially recycled high-density polyethylene, the slab is fully resistant and does not require any maintenance.

• STTC: Triangular structure for terrace roofs
Tenesol’s triangular structure for terrace roofs is geared towards membrane-based (PVC or bitumen) industrial terrace roofs, and ensures that the watertight properties of the building are fully preserved. This system can be used for terrace roofs with minimum load-bearing capacities. Its tilt angle can be adjusted freely.

• STS: Triangular floor-mounted structure
Our triangular floor-mounted structure combines ease of installation with robustness and is designed to be set directly onto ground beams or concrete slabs.

• SIS: Standard integrated structure
Tenesol’s standard integrated structure combines dual-glass or Tedlar photovoltaic modules without frames, together with a drainage structure that enables seamless integration with the roof. Watertight, this structure is recommended for roofs with a minimum slope of 12% (7°), supported by a timber or metal framework.

Dedicated range for remote sites

For opaque modules with frames only (non-dual glass). The range of structures provided for remote, off-grid sites is extremely robust (aluminum and stainless steel screws).

 * STT, triangular structure for terrace roofs: Tenesol’s structure for terrace roofs, which is both reliable and robust, is tailored to all rural electrification projects. Simple and robust, it is easy to transport and install for any tilt angle, at a very competitive price.

* SST, terrace roof structure: Tenesol’s structure for terrace roofs offers an ideal combination of strength and robustness for rural electrification projects, for horizontal surfaces only. It is resistant and easy to transport and install.

* SSU/E: U-shaped stand structure with fixing plate: Tenesol’s U-shaped stand structure with fixing plate is widely used in photovoltaic systems on horizontal surfaces for use in the telecom, oil & gas and solar pumping fields. Easy to transport and install, its stand height facilitates maintenance and protects the installation from surface dust. It also has a sizeable life span and can accommodate modular power sources.

* SSC/E: Square-shaped stand structure with fixing plate: Tenesol’s square-shaped stand structure with fixing plate is specifically geared towards use in the oil & gas and telecom fields: easy to transport and install as well as being every robust, it has been designed for the most constrained environments and can accommodate sizeable modular power sources.

* SSM: Pole structure: Tenesol’s pole structure is ideal for rural electrification due to its easy installation, and can be used for all pole types. The installation is "naturally" secure.

* SBSI: Anti-theft reinforced concrete structure: Tenesol’s structure for anti-theft reinforced concrete is specifically geared towards use in very remote sites in the telecom field. Adapted to all ground types and affixed horizontally, it is designed for remote, off-grid sites where there is a high risk of theft (anti-theft reinforced concrete structure on ground beams or concrete slabs). The stand height also facilitates maintenance and protect the installation from surface dust.
